Rock Tools Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the inventory of rock tools, ensuring accurate tracking of all new issues, disposals, and losses.

• Repair and maintain rock tools according to specified standards.

• Deliver rock tool products to clients.

• Use the Rock Tools Management System to monitor and report on tool performance.

• Diagnose issues and offer technical recommendations and enhancements to the Supervisor and Sandvik Sales and Service Representatives.

• Report any incidents that may suggest incorrect usage or selection by operators.

• Maintain precise time records, technical reports, and failure reports.

• Foster strong relationships with the rock tools team as well as internal and external clients to ensure seamless operations.

• Conduct daily and weekly inventory counts.

• Carry out other relevant tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

• Adhere to safety policies and relevant government, customer, or industry regulations and requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School (High School).

• Knowledge and/or experience with industry-specific equipment (mining or construction) is advantageous.

• Previous experience with Sandvik products is considered a plus.

• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a diverse, integrated team.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Flexible and self-motivated with proven initiative.

• Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office.

• A valid Full G driver’s license in good standing is mandatory.

• Common Core certification is an asset.

• Willingness and ability to work varied shifts as needed.
