ROC Technical Lead – Wind Remote Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee the performance of turbines and take action in response to alarms or unusual conditions.

• Assist in commissioning and service tasks via remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.

• Aid field teams in resolving technical challenges and restoring optimal performance.

• Elevate complex issues with well-organized and detailed technical information.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and support teams to address and resolve problems.

• Analyze operational data to detect faults, identify trends, and recognize opportunities for improvement.

• Facilitate the reporting and communication of technical findings.

• Contribute to enhancements in processes and operational efficiency.

• Provide support during grid outages when necessary, emphasizing safety and compliance.

• Participate in a rotating weekday shift schedule, with occasional on-call duties during weekends and public holidays.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or relevant experience in the wind energy field.

• Practical experience with wind turbines or comparable electromechanical systems in operational settings.

• Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics and applying them in troubleshooting and field support scenarios.

• Familiarity with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with effective technical communication skills.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, if necessary.

• Proficient in English (both spoken and written), readiness to relocate to Barcelona, and eligibility to work in the EU.

• Preferred qualifications: Experience in control room or remote operations; offshore wind or commissioning experience; familiarity with advanced turbine control systems (e.g., MarkVIe or similar); experience in multicultural teams; fluency in Spanish (spoken and written).
