This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance ground-control software, which encompasses telemetry, data visualization, and operator interfaces.

• Create and manage embedded software for onboard computing systems.

• Execute workflows for data collection, recording, and real-time streaming.

• Develop communication protocols that link robotic systems, ground stations, and cloud services.

• Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to enhance system performance.

• Construct and oversee video-processing and streaming pipelines.

• Improve memory utilization, multithreading, latency, and overall real-time performance.

• Participate in software architecture and technical design decisions.

• Uphold high standards of code quality through testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.

• Troubleshoot intricate issues across distributed robotics and embedded systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded systems, robotics, drones, or real-time software development.

• Proficient in Rust with strong professional experience.

• Practical experience in C++ for embedded or performance-critical applications.

• Extensive knowledge of ROS2.

• Experience with GStreamer for video processing or streaming applications.

• Familiarity with embedded Linux, ARM-based architectures, containerization, and hardware-constrained environments.

• Experience in developing graphical user interfaces using frameworks like egui, Qt, or similar technologies.

• Solid understanding of performance optimization, memory management, multithreading, and real-time systems.
