This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Assess and enhance objectives, business cases, market feasibility, and development viability for each concept.
• Generate comparative estimates to forecast development expenses and evaluate the potential financial outcomes of proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to design, produce, and evaluate innovative products, processes, or systems.
• Manage vendor, OEM, customer relationships, contracts, and navigate the regulatory landscape.
• Implement legal protocols and confidentiality measures to safeguard intellectual property.
• Ensure that innovations are functional and embraced by the operational team, while being transparent about those that fail to meet standards.
• Share and celebrate failures as opportunities for learning.
• Measure and communicate positive outcomes, highlighting team contributions.
• Cultivate relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying organizational levels.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of a two-year technical degree or a bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management).
• 2-5 years of experience in Innovation, Rapid Prototyping, Product Development, Tool Design & Fabrication, Robotics, Electrical Integration, or related fields.
• Experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Exceptional problem-identification and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Proven capability to manage multiple complex initiatives and serve as an agent of change.
• Strong understanding of the built environment, tools, processes, and challenges in construction management.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite and web applications.
• Basic estimating and scheduling skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
