Roadside Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Respond to roadside assistance requests, evaluate the situation, identify faults using advanced diagnostic tools, and perform repairs on-site whenever safe and feasible, allowing customers to resume their journey.

• Make informed, safety-oriented decisions regarding repair versus recovery; when necessary, arrange for professional recovery and dealer workshop services.

• Take ownership of each assignment from start to finish: clearly communicate with customers, manage expectations, and provide reassurance during their time of need.

• Operate and maintain your fully equipped van, manage tools and parts, adhere to safety protocols, and maintain accurate records in our systems.

• Achieve service, safety, and quality standards while working efficiently towards attainable targets with clear financial incentives.

• Function effectively in an environment influenced by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics, and cloud-based tools, utilizing insights responsibly and in accordance with our data governance, security, and ethical usage policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a vehicle or roadside technician capable of working independently at the scene; this is crucial as you will often be the primary decision-maker and problem solver on-site.

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with modern equipment; you must quickly identify problems and determine the safest, quickest way to get the customer back on the road.

• Confident and composed communication with customers; you represent Allianz Partners at the roadside and are responsible for managing expectations and ensuring safety.

• Proficient in using IT, mobile applications, and diagnostic software; our tools and processes are digital, and precise data capture is part of your responsibilities.

• A full UK driving licence and the ability to confidently drive a fully equipped van; you will travel across Plymouth or Belfast and surrounding areas.

• Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., manufacturer apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds Parts I & II, NVQ/B-Tech diploma).

• Existing EV qualifications are a plus; if you do not have them, you will complete EV Level 3 IMI Accredited and ATA Level 3 roadside diagnostics training with us.

• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern between 7am and 10pm, including some weekends and Bank Holidays; no overnight shifts, with paid overtime for early starts or late finishes.

• £8,000 bonus, along with a guaranteed additional £3,000 bonus in your first year.

• Realistic on-target earnings (OTE) of £55,000; top performers can earn over £60,000.

• No overnight or 12-hour shifts; average 42.75 hours per week between 7am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday.

• Alternating start times (7am/11am), two weekends off per month, with the rota planned 12 months in advance.
