This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Analyzes, manages, and communicates health information using clinical information systems and applications, supporting all service lines within a ministry or region.
• Employs outstanding customer service skills to train and assist business users in essential operations.
• Maintains existing functionality within the Epic system and other integrated clinical systems through problem-solving and educational expertise.
• Leverages a comprehensive understanding of Epic software, operational workflows, and policies that underpin the business.
• Aids in the design and promotion of EHR and clinical application initiatives.
• Shares and advocates for the utilization of informatics knowledge among team members.
• Addresses more complex problem-solving scenarios.
• Comprehends workflows and systems effectively.
• Recognizes opportunities for system or process improvements.
• Helps identify and rectify workflow gaps to enhance efficiencies, resolve intricate issues, and integrate quality measures.
• Communicates and promotes informatics knowledge to clinical team members and other stakeholders by presenting and discussing strategies for safe, patient-centered care.
• Applies continuous improvement principles to manage change effectively, enhancing quality and process efficiencies through technology.
• Fosters collaborative relationships by engaging in local meetings and rounding as requested.
• Participates in and supports the installation of new departments, clinics, or hospitals.
• Communicates clearly, openly, and efficiently to ensure proper use of the EHR and timely resolution of daily issues, including support for downtime processes.
• Provides hands-on EHR and clinical application support in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Assists in promoting and adopting clinical technologies that enhance operational efficiency and achieve desired outcomes.
• Offers effective and timely onsite or phone support to operational users, available during days, evenings, and nights as required.
• Travels within the organization as necessary to deliver onsite support.
• Maintains a constant state of alertness and operates safely.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Informatics, or a related field.
• Three years of relevant experience, including at least two years of clinical work.
• One year of experience in Informatics or application support.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license for the State of Work Location or Compact Multi-State License.
• Epic Certification in one or more modules (CLN01 preferred) to be obtained within one year.
• One of the following certifications to be achieved within two years: Informatics Nursing Certification (RN-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS).
