• As a Risk Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our policies, operations, and workflows are in harmony with the requirements of our financial partners.
• You will be responsible for managing workflows that influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, with the aim of identifying and evaluating regulatory, contractual, and partner-related risks.
• Furthermore, you will provide guidance and insights to operational teams in the development of scalable processes that guarantee compliance with service level agreements, routine reporting, and overall risk reduction.
• Exhibit sound judgment and the capability to navigate complex, high-risk decisions that lack clear-cut answers.
• Assess merchants, from innovative venture-backed startups to established institutions, by evaluating their suitability to process transactions on the Stripe platform.
• Rigorously adhere to established processes while continuously questioning assumptions, proposing enhancements, and ensuring the implementation of those improvements.
• Communicate effectively and clearly with other Stripes, Stripe's users, and Stripe's financial partners.
• Recognize trends and relay this information to cross-functional teams to improve detection systems.
• Contribute to projects aimed at advancing and optimizing systems and tools for due diligence strategies.
• Assist in the development and scaling of processes within the risk operations ecosystem.
• Identify weaknesses in existing systems, policies, and strategies, and recommend enhancements and process improvements to mitigate emerging risks through a collaborative approach with stakeholders.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or operations within a dynamic environment.
• Proven experience in scaling operational processes and achieving measurable improvements.
• Experience in tackling complex problems through cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to leverage data to quantify issues, narrate insights, and influence solutions.
• A willingness and desire to challenge existing norms.
• A creative thinker who approaches problems from a customer-centric viewpoint while being practical and solutions-focused in addressing them.
• Capable of analyzing feedback patterns and utilizing these insights to drive improvements in processes and tools.
• You demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and a commitment to reaching ambitious goals.
