Risk Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure that our policies, operations, and workflows are aligned with the requirements of our financial partners.

• Responsible for workflows that affect a diverse range of cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to identify and evaluate regulatory, contractual, and partner risks.

• Influence and provide guidance to operational teams in developing scalable processes to guarantee compliance with service level agreements, regular reporting, and comprehensive risk mitigation.

• Exhibit sound judgment and the capability to navigate complex, high-risk decisions.

• Assess merchants to determine their suitability for processing on Stripe.

• Strictly follow processes while proposing enhancements and ensuring the successful implementation of those improvements.

• Communicate effectively with others, including fellow Stripe employees, Stripe users, and Stripe financial partners.

• Identify trends and relay these findings to cross-functional teams to improve detection systems.

• Participate in projects aimed at enhancing and optimizing due diligence strategy systems and tools.

• Assist in establishing and scaling processes across the risk operations ecosystem.

• Recognize deficiencies in existing systems, policies, and strategies, and propose enhancements and process improvements to address emerging risks through collaboration with stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or operations within a dynamic environment.

• Proven experience in scaling operational processes and achieving measurable improvements.

• Background in working cross-functionally on intricate problems.

• Ability to leverage data to quantify issues, narrate insights, and influence solutions.

• A willingness and capability to challenge the existing norms.

• A creative thinker who approaches problems from a customer’s standpoint while remaining practical and solutions-focused in resolving them.

• Experience in analyzing feedback trends and utilizing those insights to drive improvements in processes and tools.

• A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a drive towards ambitious objectives.
