This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Oversee the development, execution, and validation of risk segmentation strategies, which include adjudication, exposure management, risk segmentation, and optimizing financial returns.
• Consolidate large and diverse datasets, apply feature engineering, and discern trends and patterns for the purpose of model development and enhancement.
• Create and refine scorecards and models throughout the credit life cycle utilizing statistical methodologies and machine learning techniques.
• Facilitate model deployment across platforms such as FICO Decision Engine, Python, and others.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on Model Risk Management due diligence and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Utilize statistical models and vendor data platforms to enhance acquisition and portfolio performance.
• Assist in the downstream application of models.
• Aggregate business impact analyses concerning changes in models or strategies.
• Relay key findings to the management team.
• Serve as the primary regulatory liaison regarding risk issues and requirements for a significant business segment.
• Evaluate and provide guidance on existing and new regulations.
• Collaborate across functions with teams outside of risk.
• Represent the business in corporate initiatives and identify key risks and their implications.
• Offer guidance in complex situations.
• Engage in occasional domestic travel and maintain a continuous sedentary role involving multitasking, office equipment usage, concentration, reading, writing, and calculation activities.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory; a graduate degree is preferred or equivalent progressive work experience in addition to the experience outlined below.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience is required.
• Experience in auto lending is essential.
• Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics.
• Proficiency in logistic regression, decision trees, clustering, survival analysis, GLM, gradient boosting, scorecard development, reject inference, and PD/LGD loss prediction, along with machine learning expertise.
• Practical analytics experience with both bureau and alternative data sources.
• Familiarity with feature engineering and attribute aggregation.
• Advanced skills in SAS, R, Python, and other related analytical tools.
• Proficient in MS Office and PC-based analytical and reporting software.
• Experience with relational databases and ETL processes utilizing SQL or SAS.
• Working knowledge of SAS Enterprise Miner, FICO Model Builder, or Angoss Knowledge Seeker.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements with flexibility.
• Excellent attention to detail and a capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Capability to cultivate and maintain productive relationships with business peers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in developing and delivering recommendations to senior management.
• Willingness to undertake occasional domestic travel.
• Competitive base salary ranging from $115,440 to $173,160 USD.
