Risk Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Ensure strict adherence to the reporting schedule for each client, organized by entity and state.

• Collect and request necessary documents such as payroll, class codes, hours, loss information, financial statements, and other relevant materials from clients, third-party administrators (TPA), or other required sources as mandated by each state.

• Proactively follow up with clients or relevant parties to ensure timely receipt of information, thereby maintaining compliance with stringent state deadlines.

• Continuously monitor the status of all activities and input necessary information into various state web portals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with annual and quarterly filings across multiple states within a risk management, HR, payroll department, brokerage, consulting firm, or in a state department of insurance or labor receiving these filings.

• Background in multi-jurisdictional or multi-entity filing, or managing filings by entity.

• Attention to detail is essential for assisting clients in fulfilling various quarterly and annual state reporting obligations to sustain Workers' Compensation Qualified Self-Insurance status and/or comply with monopolistic fund regulations.

• Relevant prior experience in roles such as Risk Management Analyst, Risk Manager, Claims Manager (within an employer's risk team), Workers' Compensation State Reporting Specialist, or Workers' Compensation Reporting Analyst (for brokers or consultants), as well as state agency employees or former state workers who processed or approved filings.

• Proven experience managing filings for states such as Ohio and Washington (among other monopolistic states), or for qualified self-insured programs.
