Risk Adjustment Medical Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Exhibits the capability to produce high-quality coding for medical records.

• Keeps up-to-date with ICD-10 and CPT coding standards, government regulations, official coding protocols, and third-party documentation and billing requirements.

• Ensures that all services recorded in the patient’s chart are assigned the correct ICD-10 and CPT codes.

• Attains and sustains a 95% accuracy rate in coding while meeting the required productivity standards.

• Reviews the daily queue to guarantee that all charts placed in the review queue are addressed and that any necessary corrections are communicated to the facility.

• Accountable for coding or processing every chart in their queue within 24 hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Over 3 years of experience in HCC Risk Adjustment Coding.

• Certification as a CPC or CRC from AAPC.

• Experience with EMR systems.

• Must maintain certification throughout the duration of employment.

• Strong understanding and experience with Federal and State Coding regulations and guidelines.
