This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
β’ Assign medical codes to validate ICD-10-CM codes for PACE Risk Adjustment
β’ Achieve department production and quality benchmarks
β’ Investigate regulatory guidelines for necessary documentation
β’ Generate coding reports utilizing Excel
β’ Create oral and/or written summaries of work activities for the Supervisor
β’ Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information
β’ Adhere to HIPAA security protocols relevant to your role, and report any suspected or confirmed violations or breaches
β’ Perform additional duties as required
β’ At least 3 years of experience in PACE risk adjustment coding
β’ Comprehensive experience with ICD-10-CM coding, specifically in Risk Adjustment models for PACE
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
β’ Capability to take ownership of projects and complete assigned charts in the work queue on a daily basis
β’ Detail-oriented with a strong focus on meeting deadlines
β’ Critical thinking skills to identify the most effective methods for task completion
β’ Proficient in computer applications (Excel, Word, EMR systems, and internet)
β’ Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency
β’ Strong time management, organizational skills, and work ethic
β’ Certification Requirements: CRC and 3 years of experience in risk adjustment coding
β’ Contracted to Full Time
