This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Overseeing a team of Right-of-Way personnel and subcontractors

• Responsible for internal and client budget management

• Supporting the Director of Right-of-Way Operations and the Vice President of Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Energy in procurement and business development initiatives

• Contributing to strategic business planning efforts

• Leading a team of professionals with responsibilities that encompass daily management, work planning, and team meetings

• Conducting performance evaluations for direct reports

• Setting, tracking, and reporting on team objectives

• Organizing and prioritizing departmental business activities

• Managing client communications and fostering relationships

• Handling all facets of project management, including scheduling, workflow, budgeting, quality assurance, and project completion

• Coordinating complex project teams across various disciplines including survey, engineering, construction, vegetation management, and environmental sectors

• Supervising large-scale acquisition and real estate projects

• Managing project databases and documentation

• Performing cost analyses and developing project bids

• Ensuring adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and statutes

• Coordinating project databases and spatial applications, supporting landowner meetings, stakeholder public engagements, and infrastructure project construction

• Engaging in contract work with Utility and Renewable Energy Companies across all aspects of acquisitions and project management

• Securing agreements with landowners to obtain necessary land rights, resolving damage claims, and providing construction support while addressing vegetation management challenges

• Other responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in right-of-way acquisition and project management

• Proven experience in managing electric transmission line or other linear acquisition projects is essential

• Demonstrated leadership and staff development capabilities

• Background in budget management, forecasting, and financial oversight

• Experience with contract and subcontractor management

• Comprehensive understanding of title reports, acquisition documents, survey exhibits, and other real estate-related documentation

• Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and coordinate multiple concurrent projects while ensuring all client and regulatory deadlines are met

• Licensed Wisconsin Real Estate Agent (or willingness to obtain a license)

• Ability to work independently in diverse and remote environments, both in the field and with clients and other professionals

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software

• Strong understanding of ArcGIS software and Google Earth

• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines

• Willingness to travel and conduct overnight work as necessary

• Ability to work outside regular business hours when required

• Valid driver's license and a personal vehicle suitable for fieldwork (mileage will be reimbursed)

• Capability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with management, support staff, and clients

• Ability to maintain a high standard of work and project organization
