RHEL STIG Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• CACI is in search of a knowledgeable and seasoned Security Engineer to assist the Department of the Air Force (DAF) with its Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS).

• Configure systems in line with DISA STIG requirements.

• Validate and report on STIG compliance throughout the enterprise.

• Administer and maintain applications on RHEL.

• Develop and troubleshoot shell scripts for effective application management.

• Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs using tools like SteelCloud ConfigOS.

• Manage servers in both virtual and cloud environments using Hyper-V and Azure.

• Communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with team members and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active Secret security clearance is mandatory.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field can substitute for 5 years of experience).

• Expertise in STIG application, review, troubleshooting, validation, and compliance.

• Familiarity with SteelCloud ConfigOS.

• Experience with ServiceNow integrated workflows and automation.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Federation Services.

• Proficient in advanced PowerShell scripting or prior software development experience.

• Understanding of DoD PKI.

• Possession of a required DoD 8140 compliant certification such as CompTIA Security+.

• Insight into industry compliance standards (e.g., NIST) and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex security tooling challenges.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
