This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage with the volunteer community by overseeing interactive Colibri Discussion Boards (the program’s online forum for volunteers) and organizing recognition efforts for volunteers, including the Milestone Award recognition process, Volunteer of the Month interviews, and monthly postings of volunteer achievements. Notify volunteers about increasing loan review requirements, challenges, and Kiva-related news and initiatives through original messages posted on Colibri.
• Provide support for cross-functional event planning and motivational messaging during various Kiva campaigns.
• Handle volunteer recruitment by researching necessary recruitment resources, posting job descriptions, and assisting with the initial screening of applications.
• Offer assistance with systems by aiding in QA testing and documentation for enhancements to volunteer-facing communication tools (Colibri), creating new reference materials (such as FAQs and training videos), and refining the transition to automated emails using our preferred email platform (Iterable).
• Collaborate with the team on volunteer engagement logistics by drafting motivational messages, planning volunteer events, designing and analyzing surveys, and strategizing on the timing and method of communication.
• Improve process efficiency by providing feedback on streamlining recurring volunteer engagement tasks for better efficiency. Suggest initiatives that would reduce the manual administration of intern tasks.
• Conduct research projects for new tools by assisting the team in sourcing and reviewing new online tools and products to facilitate programmatic scaling.
• Perform general data analysis, including compiling and analyzing volunteer surveys, polls, and community interactions through click rates and responses, and presenting any findings to the team.
• Enhance volunteer communications by managing a new email channel and documenting processes for future team reference.
• Provide additional support by contributing to and managing various project aspects as needed.
• Must be at least 21 years old by July 14, 2026.
• Able to commit to a full 6-month term.
• Possess strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and a sense of ownership over your work.
• Enjoy problem-solving and building relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly proactive, organized, and capable of working independently.
• Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite, Greenhouse, Salesforce, Slack, and various Kiva internal systems.
• Willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
• Good instincts for communication, differentiating tones for internal and external audiences.
• Ability to work with minimal direction.
• Proven project management skills with a demonstrated ability to set and meet project deadlines.
