This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees the pipeline and performance metrics for a district or region to guarantee prompt loan processing and closures.
• Mentor and evaluate the work of Loan Processors to ensure adherence to Company, secondary market investor, and government agency standards.
• Revise internal procedures and educate processing staff on current, new, and modified federal and state regulations.
• Maintain the overall quality and integrity of loan files while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Track the overall pipeline and metrics for the team, and adjust workloads as necessary.
• Provide training, support, and coaching to Processors to resolve and clarify issues related to procedures, requirements, products, systems, necessary documents, and industry changes.
• Educate processors on pipeline management, processing skills, and standards for internal and external customer service.
• Organize and manage daily workflow requirements and facilitate communication between processing and the Funding and Underwriting Departments.
• Conduct spot checks of loans submitted for processing to confirm completeness, accuracy, and timeliness from Sales.
• Review loan applications and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Company standards, as well as federal and agency regulations, and applicable state or local regulations.
• Ensure Processors meet productivity targets and customer service expectations.
• Conduct initial and ongoing training for Processors.
• Ensure compliance and take necessary actions to address audit findings.
• Raise issues as needed and follow up to guarantee timely resolution.
• Identify and escalate potential fraud concerns.
• Stay updated on federal and state regulations, policies, and industry trends.
• Host regular meetings for processing staff.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of seven years of total work experience is required, including progressively responsible roles in loan processing.
• At least two years of prior supervisory experience.
• Ability to establish strong relationships with loan officers, production teams, underwriting, closing, and other internal and external partners.
• Outstanding customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Expert-level knowledge of federal, state, and regulatory requirements/guidelines related to consumer mortgage lending and internal processes and controls.
• Expert-level knowledge of valid documentation related to processing consumer mortgage applications.
• Intermediate math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Previous experience with internal data entry systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF/Document Retention programs.
