Revenue Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Manage the processing of patient insurance details during the intake procedure.

• Guarantee the timely and precise submission of insurance claims.

• Collect payments on overdue patient accounts.

• Liaise with insurance payers to confirm appropriate coverage for our patients and ensure timely reimbursement for dialysis services provided at our clinics.

• Review and submit requests for system setup to relevant teams, ensuring that center and payer information is entered into the billing system for accurate invoicing.

• Respond promptly and accurately to communications from payers.

• Work collaboratively with other revenue operations teams to maintain efficient processes across departments.

• Partner with clinic colleagues, including insurance counselors, social workers, and facility administrators, to ensure timely and accurate insurance information.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to adapt swiftly and handle stress effectively.

• Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Basic computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Prior experience in healthcare, medical billing, collections, or overpayment resolution.

• Familiarity or experience with a range of healthcare insurance payers.
