Revenue Manager, Pediatrics / Adult Ambulatory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee staff activities related to charge capture, coding, charge entry, insurance follow-up, reimbursement analysis, and other PRMO functions.

• Evaluate staff performance in scheduling, registration, clinic check-in, and collections.

• Create and utilize reports to monitor financial and operational revenue-cycle performance.

• Assess and suggest updates to charge master and charge capture documentation.

• Identify, analyze, and resolve issues within the revenue cycle and implement enhancements.

• Provide education and training for providers and staff on coding and revenue-cycle matters.

• Act as a liaison between PRMO, DUHS, Duke Health Integrated Practice, clinical leadership, and third-party payers.

• Investigate and enforce payer regulations and guidelines.

• Handle revenue-cycle inquiries, KPIs, reimbursement changes, ServiceNow tickets, work queues, and Epic applications.

• Facilitate collaboration, strategic planning, workgroups, meetings, and communication concerning the revenue cycle.

• Organize revenue-cycle training initiatives.

• Supervise revenue enhancement and compliance projects, action plans, timelines, root-cause analyses, and workflow improvements.

• Manage the setup, modifications, testing, validation, charge capture, billing, and go-live activities for the Maestro Care system.

• Lead multidisciplinary teams in crafting sustainable solutions.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Minimum of 6+ years of relevant healthcare experience, ideally in Charge Integrity/Revenue Management.

• Coding certification (e.g., CCS, CPC, RHIA, RHIT), HFMA CHFP, CRCR, or BSN RN is preferred.

• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate effectively with hospital leadership.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Flexibility to work on varying schedules.

• Strong research and documentation skills.

• Capability to work independently.

• Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, Visio, and Outlook.
