This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
β’ Manage all assigned work queues to ensure prompt and precise follow-up on claims, which includes handling denials, no-response claims, appeals, edit work queues, and aged accounts, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
β’ Oversee account distribution to maintain balanced workloads, appropriate aging, and prioritized handling for high-value or time-sensitive claims.
β’ Evaluate escalated or complicated claims that necessitate supervisor intervention, particularly those pertaining to California-specific regulations (e.g., DMHC, Medi-Cal, CCS, variations in workers' compensation).
β’ Guide, mentor, and assess Accounts Receivable Representatives to achieve productivity, quality, and accuracy benchmarks.
β’ Facilitate regular one-on-one meetings, team huddles, and performance evaluations.
β’ Aid in onboarding, workflow training, and continuous competency enhancement.
β’ Provide support for disciplinary actions or escalations as necessary.
β’ Collaborate closely with Accounts Receivable Managers, Directors, and Client Delivery leadership to elevate payer issues, suggest process enhancements, and promote client-centered results.
β’ Engage in leadership or operational meetings as required.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare Accounts Receivable, encompassing follow-up, denials, and appeals.
β’ At least 1β2 years of experience in an AR team lead or supervisory role.
β’ Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, billing workflows, and payer behaviors.
β’ Proficient with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and billing systems (Epic preferred), Microsoft Excel, and workflow reporting tools.
β’ Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
β’ Preferred hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable with California payers and billing standards.
β’ Experience in supporting large, multi-facility health systems.
β’ Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
β’ Background in managing complex denial environments.
