This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide outstanding patient assistance by welcoming visitors, coordinating appointments, referrals, and tests, and managing patient check-ins and check-outs with professionalism.
• Confirm insurance coverage, handle payment processing, and address third-party payer inquiries to ensure seamless clinic operations.
• Expand upon the essential skills of an Access Coordinator I, embracing greater responsibilities to significantly enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service or healthcare.
• Basic computer proficiency, preferably with MS Office.
• Exceptional telephone etiquette.
• General familiarity with office equipment, including printers and scanners.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Awareness of healthcare insurance eligibility.
• Experience with EPIC Systems is preferred.
• Background in registration, billing, or scheduling within a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates, particularly in Spanish, are preferred.
