This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete setup, maintenance, and payout validation processes in CaptivateIQ for all quota-bearing roles.
• Act as the main contact for representatives regarding compensation-related inquiries, disputes, and escalations — eliminating the need for intermediaries.
• Oversee and manage the compensation data records, including start dates, ramp schedules, OTE and quota assignments, as well as plan versioning.
• Collaborate with People Ops and Sales leadership to distribute, track, and archive pay plan acknowledgment forms.
• Supervise account assignment and goal-setting data, ensuring consistency between CRM data and commission calculations.
• Direct the monthly commission calculation cycle, guaranteeing the accuracy, documentation, and timely delivery of all payouts.
• Reconcile commission outputs with CRM data, identifying and resolving discrepancies prior to payout.
• Prepare commission accrual inputs in collaboration with Finance for month-end closing procedures.
• Maintain a thorough audit trail for all compensation calculations, adjustments, and communications.
• Work closely with our Salesforce Architect on the design, modeling, and system-level modifications of compensation plans — taking administrative responsibility to allow him to concentrate on strategy.
• Engage with Sales leadership to convey plan modifications, quota adjustments, and program updates in a clear and proactive manner.
• Partner with Finance on forecasting compensation expenses, accruals, and budget versus actuals analysis.
• Assist the People Ops team with the onboarding of new hires from a compensation perspective: communicating plans, managing documentation, and configuring systems.
• Identify and implement enhancements to the commission calculation and communication workflow to minimize manual effort and reduce the risk of errors.
• Manage and update our compensation documentation library, which includes plan documents, FAQs, and administrative standard operating procedures.
• Participate in CaptivateIQ system upgrades, new plan launches, and automation initiatives.
• 3–5+ years of experience in sales compensation, commissions administration, or revenue operations.
• Practical experience with CaptivateIQ or a similar commissions platform (such as Xactly, Spiff, Varicent, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in Salesforce — capable of independently pulling, validating, and interpreting CRM data.
• Highly skilled in Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable handling large data sets and performing reconciliation tasks.
• Exceptional attention to detail — adept at identifying errors before they escalate into issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a proven track record of articulating complex compensation mechanics clearly to representatives.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Finance and Sales leadership.
• Previous experience in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with compensation plan design and ASC 606/revenue recognition principles is a plus.
