Revenue and Billing Compliance Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clinical, revenue cycle, compliance, and finance teams to oversee, communicate, and apply compliant billing practices.

• Act as the subject matter expert on regulatory and payer policies.

• Enact changes related to regulatory and payer policies.

• Explore billing requirements that support new clinical services.

• Research and offer billing guidance for new services and charge codes.

• Identify opportunities for precise and thorough charge capture.

• Assist departments in implementing payer and regulatory policies.

• Oversee telehealth billing and reimbursement processes.

• Audit the accuracy of professional claims in collaboration with compliance and revenue cycle teams.

• Track and resolve errors in the charge router.

• Maintain charge reconciliation in partnership with clinical leaders.

• Monitor Revenue Cycle AI solutions for compliance and accuracy.

• Investigate policies to support appeals for trends in global denials.

• Manage trends in payer denials and ensure timely resolution or escalation.

• Address government payer audits and communicate volumes and escalations.

• Administer payer portals.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle or healthcare compliance.

• 3 years of specific experience in physician billing and coding.

• Possession of a nationally recognized physician coding certification.

• Strong knowledge of billing, coding, regulatory, and payer policies, including telehealth billing requirements across commercial and government payers.

• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent investigative skills.

• Ability to work independently.

• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong time management abilities and the capacity to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

• In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

• Experience with the Epic practice management system.

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
