Revenue Analyst 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluating and pursuing improperly compensated medical insurance claims

• Adjusting workflows independently while reviewing accounts for possible payer underpayments

• Analyzing data from diverse sources to determine the actual causes of underpayments

• Identifying payor and client trends to enhance profitability

• Assessing account profitability and performing cost analysis for potential rebilling

• Reviewing payer contracts for revenue-related risks

• Facilitating communication of results with auditors

• Mentoring and supporting the onboarding process for new Revenue Analysts

• Collaborating with management and project leaders

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience is preferred

• Familiarity with the Revenue Cycle industry is preferred

• Experience in reviewing hospital claims and payer contracts

• Professional experience in communicating with insurance companies, both verbally and through complex written appeals for contractual underpayments

• Understanding of key risk areas within contract reimbursement methodologies

• Ability to conduct research using various channels (internet, client and payer systems, and internal resources)

• Proficiency in navigating the Hospital’s optical storage and patient accounting systems

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities

• Must be capable of multitasking and diligently managing workload/multiple projects while maintaining a strong attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong computer proficiency, including OneNote, Word, and advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
