Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Evaluate agreements to ascertain the appropriate revenue treatment in accordance with ASC 606.

• Analyze billing, contract, and revenue recognition issues to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.

• Assist with the month-end closing process and prepare reconciliations for revenue-related accounts.

• Aid in the documentation and implementation of revenue accounting processes and internal controls.

• Collaborate with various departments, including but not limited to Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting, to support business processes.

• Work cross-functionally to resolve customer billing issues, system errors, and process inefficiencies.

• Engage in various system automation and enhancement initiatives to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Provide support for requests related to financial or tax authority audits or reviews, as well as other ad-hoc inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• Proven ability to analyze intricate revenue transactions, identify discrepancies, resolve billing and revenue recognition challenges, and implement process enhancements that improve financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

• Strong communication abilities across various platforms and tools.

• Demonstrated capability to communicate clearly and concisely with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.

• Experience with a complex ERP system; familiarity with Sage Intacct is strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of Salesforce.com is advantageous.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
