This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Compile monthly financial records and reports by gathering, evaluating, and summarizing account data.
• Oversee the general ledger (GL).
• Prepare monthly journal entries and allocations.
• Handle fixed assets processing and reporting.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks.
• Ensure maintenance of account reconciliations.
• Evaluate internal controls, including risk assessments, auditing, and document verification.
• Support budget preparation and conduct monthly budget variance analysis.
• Collaborate with external audit firms, banks, lessors, and credit card companies.
• Track cash flow activities and confirm that financial plans align with organizational objectives.
• Assist in training and mentoring accounting personnel.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.
• Proven knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
