This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assist the global tax function, focusing primarily on corporate income tax compliance, tax reporting, and provision-related activities across various jurisdictions.
• Oversee tax filings and statutory obligations for the Philippines entity while also providing support for global corporate tax compliance, return preparation, and estimated tax calculations for other nations.
• Review and manage the timely submission of Philippines VAT (quarterly) and withholding tax (monthly) returns, ensuring they are accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with local laws.
• Track and analyze Philippines tax legislation and regulatory updates, evaluating their impact on the business, ensuring compliance, and advising stakeholders on necessary actions.
• Act as a primary contact for local tax compliance issues, coordinating with external advisors and assisting with tax audits, notices, and inquiries.
• Maintain organized and audit-ready tax documentation along with supporting schedules, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Aid in the preparation and coordination of corporate income tax returns across multiple jurisdictions, collaborating closely with global tax team members and third-party advisors.
• Help with quarterly and annual tax estimates, including extensions, payment calculations, and monitoring obligations across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with global finance teams and external advisors to ensure precise and timely tax filings, maintaining consistent compliance across countries.
• Support the management and resolution of global tax audits, notices, and inquiries, including the collection of documentation and preparation of responses.
• Maintain and improve global tax compliance calendars and tracking tools to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met.
• Identify and implement enhancements to processes for improved efficiency and accuracy, including the automation and streamlining of tax procedures.
• Contribute to efforts aimed at modernizing and centralizing the global tax function, including the documentation of procedures and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Five or more years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Practical experience with Philippine Accounting Rules and Regulations (BIR) - Essential.
• Experience using Oracle NetSuite is preferred.
