Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Evaluate revenue contracts to confirm that revenue is recognized in compliance with US GAAP, ASC 606, and internal policies.

• Conduct thorough and timely contract reviews at the conclusion of each fiscal month.

• Engage in monthly and quarterly closing activities, which involve preparing journal entries, performing variance analysis, and executing reconciliations for deferred revenue and other revenue-related accounts as necessary.

• Provide assistance during both internal and external audits.

• Collaborate effectively with the US revenue recognition team to maintain a consistent approach and comply with global processes.

• Work alongside billing, revenue operations, financial reporting, GL, and business process teams to promote best practices in revenue management.

• Support the revenue accounting team and the revenue accounting manager with special projects, which include system implementation and enhancing internal processes and controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree.

• Proficiency in both German and English.

• Familiarity with US GAAP revenue recognition principles and the ability to accurately recognize and record revenue in accordance with ASC 606.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables.
