This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Cultivate and support advisor relationships, serving as the main contact for escalations, upselling objectives, fund modifications, fee negotiations, and managing reporting and data feed requests, alongside non-fiduciary investment evaluations, fee benchmarking, and discussions on plan design.
• Efficiently manage, analyze, and retain a portfolio of business clients to offer knowledgeable, advanced solutions by providing a high level of financial product expertise and support.
• Maintain continuous communication with client influencers and decision-makers to understand their goals and objectives while identifying service-related concerns.
• Consistently and proactively present the Alerus value proposition.
• Actively utilize and share technical knowledge and experience in ERISA and the retirement plan industry with clients and intermediaries during regular plan, investment, and service reviews.
• Serve as the primary contact for Advisors or Sponsors for direct plans.
• Manage a portfolio of plans based on advisor relationships.
• Responsible for aiding in the support and growth of advisor relationships.
• Demonstrate the ability to engage and interact with a diverse audience, including plan participants, plan sponsors, investment committees, and peer groups.
• Review fee structures and schedules with clients.
• In direct business, tasked with enhancing overall plan health through participant education, enrollment support, and strengthening the client relationship with Alerus.
• Address all escalations and ensure client and advisor retention.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve client issues.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of five years of experience in the retirement industry.
• In-depth understanding of investments and fee schedules.
• Strong written and oral communication, organization, and client service skills are necessary.
• Capability to maintain professional working relationships with both internal and external clients.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Skill in interpreting documents and solving technical issues.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Availability to work overtime to accommodate peak workloads and other business requirements.
