This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Create and implement strategies that encourage participant engagement towards achieving a fully funded retirement and track essential plan metrics.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with Human Resources, management teams, and participants.
• Facilitate group education sessions, workshops, webinars, and enrollment meetings.
• Conduct personalized retirement planning consultations with client employees.
• Utilize Transamerica products and services to assist participants in reaching their retirement goals.
• Offer insights into the funds available under each client plan, including fund objectives and performance metrics.
• Identify asset retention requirements and initiate conversations with participants, including opening and funding solutions as an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) and/or referring opportunities to the Transamerica Advice Center.
• Retain assets within plans and facilitate the rollover of plan assets to an IRA in compliance with DOL fiduciary advice regulations.
• Assist participants with diverse product needs and connect them with relevant product specialists.
• Keep up-to-date and precise records documenting progress towards established goals.
• Provide ongoing assistance to high-value participants who exit their employer while retaining assets in the Transamerica plan.
• Conduct regular meetings with internal partners, including client executives, communication directors, account managers, and other stakeholders.
• Engage in projects aimed at expanding or enhancing the Retirement Education and Planning Services organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent business experience.
• FINRA Series 6 or 7 certification.
• FINRA Series 63 certification or obtain within six months.
• Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) or Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor (CRPC) certification, or obtain within 12 months.
• Higher-level certifications such as CFP, CRC, CEBS, ChFC, CIMA, or CRPS are acceptable in lieu of RPA or CRPC.
• Minimum of three years of experience in financial services or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Presentation abilities to support the sales process.
• Self-driven with a focus on achieving set targets.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Quick aptitude for learning new systems and technologies.
• Preferred: Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
• Occasional travel under 10%; local travel may be necessary.
