
Retirement Plan Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Collaborate with clients to gather essential information for annual reporting preparation.
• Assess documents submitted by clients to ensure they are complete and accurate.
• Reconcile plans involving only rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administrative software.
• Employ administrative software to conduct 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make proactive reminder calls and send emails to clients throughout the plan year reporting process.
• Prepare necessary government filings for 401(k) plans, including IRS Form 5500, utilizing filing software.
• Inform clients about the management of their 401(k) plans and related documents.
• Convey knowledge and simplify complex topics for better understanding.
• Provide training on concepts for a Retirement Plan Administrator I.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem resolution.
• Proficient in customer service, organization, and teamwork.
• Sufficient mathematical and analytical capabilities.
• Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Preferred: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, finance, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred: Basic understanding of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations.
• Capacity to work independently in a self-directed manner.
