Retirement Plan Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Create and implement communication and educational strategies by conducting individual virtual and on-site group meetings utilizing various technologies in a professional manner.

• Encourage participants to take measurable actions to enhance their retirement outcomes, including plan enrollment, increasing deferrals, and rolling over from previous plans.

• Deliver business results and engage in meaningful conversations while adhering to service level agreements.

• Regularly fulfill reporting requirements within specified timeframes, including logging meetings, attendees, and outcomes in the appropriate systems.

• Cultivate strong relationships with assigned key contacts, plan sponsor representatives, and internal stakeholders to optimize successful participant outcomes.

• Oversee meeting schedules, which includes travel arrangements.

• Provide feedback to local relationship managers regarding the effectiveness of communication materials and strategies, and assist in exploring alternatives.

• Attend client meetings alongside other service team members.

• May be invited to take part in final presentations for new prospects depending on the needs of the territory.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree.

• 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in financial services.

• Strong presentation skills are essential.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams is required.

• Excellent relationship-building and territory management skills.

• FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 registrations must be obtained within established timelines.

• FINRA fingerprinting is required.

• Working knowledge of Salesforce is preferred.

• Ability to perform calculations involving interest, proportions, percentages, and fractions is required.

• A strategic thinker who can work independently.

• Practical experience in providing high-level, consultative client interactions is preferred.

• Basic understanding of defined contribution plans is preferred.
