Genetic Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver virtual, comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling services for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) practices, catering to a diverse range of patients.

• Enhance the results reporting program for various clients by utilizing an innovative method of reporting genetic results to patients.

• Provide direct patient care across a wide array of complex indications, supported by a comprehensive referral network.

• Engage in professional development opportunities, including writing abstracts, publishing work, educating physicians, and participating in various projects.

• Contribute to educational and research initiatives within Labcorp.

• Collaborate with a nationwide network of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, along with over 100 counseling colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling.

• Certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or currently holding Active Candidate Status for ABGC.

• Multi-State Genetic Counselor licensure or the capability to obtain it.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in prenatal or reproductive Genetic Counseling after earning a Master's Degree (preferred).

• Active ABGC certification (preferred).

• Highly organized with exceptional time management skills.

• Strong ability to multitask with meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
