Retirement Calculation Verification Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Determine testing scenarios that will guarantee comprehensive test coverage.

• Execute and validate the calculation outcomes of the testing scenarios.

• Document any discrepancies and monitor the resolution of reported issues.

• Maintain the test suite to reflect new features and modifications to existing ones.

• Review technical documents to pinpoint necessary testing scenarios.

• Engage with functional leaders and business analysts to clarify testing parameters.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

• Participate in team meetings and calculation review sessions.

• Aid in the ongoing enhancement of verification processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or finance.

• Ongoing education in actuarial science is considered an asset.

• A minimum of 7 years of pertinent experience in the administration of Canadian or US Defined Benefit pension plans.

• Experience in verifying pension plan calculations or involvement in pension plan implementation.

• Skilled in using pension calculation tools.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or a comparable job management tool is a plus.

• Proficient in both written and verbal English and French.

• Knowledge of Excel VBA programming is an asset.
