Retirement Benefits Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• You will serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from both potential and current members regarding their health, retirement, and other financial benefits.

• Support will be provided to retirees and active employees concerning pension plans and 401k inquiries from initiation to completion.

• This position integrates phone-based administrative support with customer service, helping members navigate various systems to deliver precise benefits information.

• Occasionally, you may also provide assistance through outbound calls.

• Document enrollment requests, status changes, complaints, and grievances with accuracy.

• Input application and enrollment details into a web-based computer system for customers as required.

• Maintain proficiency in technical and program policies according to client rules/guidelines and other relevant program policies.

• Deliver clear, comprehensive, accurate, and objective information based on a thorough understanding of program requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check is necessary.

• Prior experience in customer service and/or call center roles is essential.

• Proficiency in MS Office and keyboarding skills is required.

• Must pass an internet speed test (download speed of 25 Mbps or greater, upload speed of 5 Mbps or greater, and ping of 175 ms or less).

• Ability to connect to a modem/router via an ethernet cable is mandatory.

• Capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and coworkers.

• Strong problem-solving skills through analysis and ongoing feedback are important.

• Achieving results through knowledge, empathy, and commitment is expected.

• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds is essential.

• Experience in healthcare and employer benefits is highly preferred.
