This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota, +3 more states.
• You will oversee a team of field sales representatives and managers to ensure the execution of the sales strategy and the attainment of annual KPIs and targets.
• Convert the national retail execution strategy into actionable regional plans that achieve sales and distribution objectives.
• Ensure consistent implementation of sales, merchandising, and trade marketing initiatives across all retail channels.
• Monitor retail KPIs (availability, share of shelf, display compliance, execution quality, etc.) and implement corrective actions to maintain excellence.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 1,500 employees, fostering a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement while ensuring safety, inclusion, and engagement of all field personnel.
• Identify and nurture high-potential talent for future leadership opportunities.
• Manage the regional P&L (1.5B annual sales) and resource allocation to meet productivity and cost-to-serve objectives.
• Optimize route-to-market strategies, retail coverage, and workforce planning utilizing data and analytics.
• Focus on planogram and merchandising for new items and key brand priorities.
• Promote standardization and best practices across different territories.
• Collaborate with key retail customers and distributors in the region to strengthen partnerships and drive mutual value creation.
• Work with Category, Trade Marketing, and Sales teams to implement brand strategies at the shelf level.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for any customer or execution challenges within the region.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, HR, Finance, CBT) to facilitate execution readiness and efficiency.
• Advocate for the adoption of digital tools, analytics, and performance dashboards to enhance field productivity, improve in-store execution, and elevate shopper experience.
• Cultivate a culture that embraces innovation, agility, and ongoing improvement.
• Extensive experience in CPG Sales, Field Operations, or Retail Execution in a Strategy role with Large Customers.
• Proven success in leading large, multi-level field organizations (1,000+ employees).
• Strong understanding of retail channel dynamics and execution KPIs.
• Demonstrated success with key national and regional customers (Walmart, Kroger, Target).
• Proven ability to manage P&L, budgets, and performance metrics at scale.
• Experience in leading data, technology, and process transformation initiatives.
• Significant and relevant experience in the Food & Beverage sector.
• MUST possess experience in the DSD model.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in CPG Sales, Field Operations, or Retail Execution in a Strategy role with Large Customers.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
