This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• In direct reporting to the VP of Patient Access, the AVP of Patient Access is responsible for providing strategic leadership across all front-end revenue cycle operations within the organization, which may encompass scheduling, registration, insurance verification, public benefits, and financial clearance.
• Manages multiple cost centers and establishes long-term goals aimed at optimizing patient experiences, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving overall financial performance.
• Creates and implements innovative strategies that are in alignment with organizational objectives, utilizing technology and process enhancements to streamline workflows and elevate the patient experience.
• Requires a high level of leadership skills to guide large, diverse teams, promote cross-functional collaboration, and cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Evaluates performance metrics, anticipates trends, and initiates programs that eliminate barriers, reduce risks, and foster sustainable growth.
• This role requires weekly travel within the market, estimated at 75% to 100% of the time.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Patient Access or Revenue Cycle within a hospital or large health system.
• Proven experience in managing multiple health systems; hospital experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in implementing strategic initiatives that align company goals and vision with operational execution.
• Advanced proficiency in AI with a track record of translating AI into business outcomes and transitioning teams from experimentation to scaled implementations.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to function across various organizational levels and functions.
• A commanding executive presence, capable of projecting confidence, credibility, and authority; remains composed and decisive under pressure.
• Proven ability to effectively lead diverse teams and drive change management initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey information and ideas clearly and concisely.
• Experience in healthcare finance operations or a similar service environment.
• Strong critical thinking and action planning skills.
• CRCR certification is required within 9 months of employment (supported by Ensemble).
