This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• In the role of Retail Expansion & Business Development Manager, you will bring Funzy from the digital realm directly to the public through pop-up locations, events, and trade shows throughout the DACH region.
• You will be responsible for developing new locations and partnerships, crafting unforgettable experiences around our products, and converting initial interactions into lasting enthusiasm.
• Your mission is to introduce Funzy to major cities in the DACH region, taking complete operational and strategic responsibility for our monthly pop-up stores from A to Z — which includes location scouting, logistics, team management, live sales, and post-event analysis.
• You will oversee a seven-figure revenue stream with specific targets, manage budgets and KPIs, while keeping growth and profitability in focus.
• It is essential that every sales location showcases the Funzy brand in the best light — creatively, with high quality, and being entirely “Insta-ready.”
• Over time, you will play a pivotal role in establishing our first Funzy flagship store and actively contribute to the evolution of our offline presence in the years ahead.
• You will form long-lasting partnerships and position Funzy in places where families gather: from family cafés and hotels to concept stores and experiential venues.
• Your role includes developing creative activations, events, and campaigns that attract attention, foster community, and drive sales.
• Collaborating closely with our marketing team, you will smartly extend offline experiences into the digital landscape.
• You will recruit, train, and inspire local promoters and event teams, ensuring that every activation is a success.
• You are hands-on and will be the driving force behind our pop-ups and activations on-site.
• You possess experience in areas such as retail expansion, store management, field sales, trade marketing, or business development, ideally within a dynamic start-up, DTC, or consumer-focused environment.
• You are a true organizational expert, solution-oriented, and able to maintain an overview even amidst numerous simultaneous tasks.
• You are proactive and enjoy being hands-on, from negotiation meetings to setting up a pop-up store.
• Building relationships and negotiating robust partnerships and favorable deals is something you excel at.
• You thrive on achieving objectives, making successes visible, and derive energy from turning ideas into revenue.
• You have a strong understanding of families, parents, and children, and know what resonates with our target audience.
• You appreciate variety and are willing to travel; approximately 40-50% of your work time will be spent traveling within the DACH region.
• Fluency in German and very good English is required.
