Resuscitation Abstractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Reviews medical records of patients and extracts data for the designated GWTG-Resuscitation registry measures.

• Accurately and consistently applies registry specifications, definitions, inclusion and exclusion criteria, as well as abstraction guidelines.

• Interprets clinical documentation concerning in-hospital cardiac arrest, resuscitation events, CPR, defibrillation, medications, outcomes, neurological status, complications, and relevant quality measures.

• Inputs precise and comprehensive data into the assigned registry platforms, EHRs, vendor tools, or other data collection systems.

• Ensures a high standard of accuracy, completeness, and meticulous attention to detail in abstraction.

• Achieves assigned productivity goals, weekly progress targets, and adheres to internal and client deadlines.

• Engages in quality assurance initiatives, including providing feedback, making corrections, validation, and conducting IRR reviews.

• Communicates in a professional manner with account leads, team members, and client contacts when clarification is necessary.

• Upholds strict confidentiality and adheres to ADN, client, HIPAA, and data security regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in GWTG Resuscitation Registry abstraction.

• Capability to independently abstract GWTG Resuscitation cases using registry specifications and clinical documentation.

• Strong comprehension of healthcare quality reporting, registry abstraction, clinical documentation review, and medical record interpretation.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, documentation, and follow-through skills.

• Proficiency in navigating multiple EHRs, registry platforms, vendor tools, and data collection systems as required.

• Outstanding interpersonal and written communication abilities.

• Contractors must possess high-speed secure internet, a PC or laptop, and at least two monitors.
