Residential Appraiser Trainee

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage in comprehensive training regarding the real estate appraisal process, which encompasses inspection techniques, market analysis, data gathering, valuation methods, and report writing.

• Assist certified appraisers by conducting supervised property inspections to learn how to recognize property features and the factors that affect value.

• Employ True Footage’s proprietary software along with other industry tools to collect, analyze, and interpret market data and trends.

• Aid in the preparation of precise and thorough appraisal reports that accurately depict property features and current market conditions.

• Collaborate with the Appraisal Operations team to manage scheduling, track workflow progress, and guarantee timely delivery of reports.

• Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams to support overarching company goals.

• Achieve performance and learning benchmarks throughout your 12-month journey, showcasing your readiness to progress to a Junior Appraiser role.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• A collaborative, “utility player” attitude—willing to assist with Appraisal Operations, scheduling, and cross-functional projects as required.

• Self-driven and ambitious, with a desire to advance to a Certified Residential Appraiser.

• A valid driver’s license for conducting fieldwork.
