This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee comprehensive research projects that guide the design and development of AI-driven products and features.
• Collaborate closely with product design, engineering, and product management to convert research findings into practical design choices.
• Establish and refine research methodologies for new AI interaction models — including conversational AI, generative AI, and autonomous systems.
• Execute both generative and evaluative research employing various methods (interviews, usability assessments, surveys, diary studies, concept validation, etc.).
• Distill intricate findings into clear and compelling narratives for executive and cross-functional audiences.
• Mentor and support fellow researchers, enhancing the overall skill set of the team.
• Advocate for ethical AI design and contribute to frameworks for responsible AI research.
• Over 7 years of experience in UX research, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience researching AI/ML products or intricate technical systems.
• A robust portfolio showcasing the influence of your research on product results.
• Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities.
• Comfortable with uncertainty and capable of shaping research strategy in dynamic environments.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams within a large, matrixed organization.
• Familiarity with responsible AI, AI ethics, or trust and safety research (Bonus).
• Knowledge of enterprise software or B2B SaaS contexts (Bonus).
• Advanced degree in HCI, cognitive science, psychology, or a related field (Bonus).
