This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Act as the independent principal investigator (PI) for a substantial portfolio of retrospective, cross-sectional, and/or prospective studies.
• Manage proposals and oversee all facets of project execution, completion, and quality assurance.
• Offer strategic consultation and suggest scientific methodologies to meet research requirements.
• Assign coordination responsibilities to mid-level and junior team members.
• Assist in achieving sales targets, fostering client relationships, developing proposals, and engaging with clients.
• Contribute to strategic discussions regarding sales, process enhancements, and product innovation.
• Assess training needs, create training materials, propose training leaders, and mentor junior staff.
• Collaborate on abstracts and articles for submission to scientific journals and presentations at scientific meetings.
• Evaluate complex issues and evidence, determine cause-effect relationships, and formulate solutions.
• Present findings to internal teams and clients effectively.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Be prepared to travel to scientific meetings/conferences and work flexibly across various time zones as needed.
• Master's degree or PhD in Epidemiology or Public Health.
• At least 7 years of experience, including consultancy experience focused on pharmacoepidemiology.
• In-depth knowledge of epidemiology/pharmacoepidemiology, statistics, and practical research execution.
• Proven experience in conducting retrospective, cross-sectional, and/or prospective observational research utilizing secondary data sources and/or new data collection.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at an intermediate level.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capability to analyze intricate issues and evidence, identify causal relationships, and devise effective solutions.
• Ability to make informed decisions and implement solutions promptly.
• Competence in delivering presentations to both internal teams and clients.
• Skill in establishing collaborative working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Willingness to mentor and assist junior team members.
• Flexibility to operate across different time zones.
• Readiness to travel to scientific meetings/conferences as necessary.
