Research Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the evidence bar for protocols, products, ingredients, and interventions across our various business sectors. Decide to adopt, reject, or monitor each with a well-defined and justifiable rationale.

• Conduct systematic scientific evaluations of new products, therapeutics, formulations, and protocols submitted by any team; offer written justification along with a risk assessment.

• Collaborate with business development, operations, product, and clinical team members to prioritize research, manage company-wide demand, and finalize clinical approvals.

• Establish and continually enhance the scientific standards of our actively developed AI research engine and align the engine's scores with your evaluations.

• Remain informed on advancements in longevity, metabolic health, pharmaceuticals, women's health, nutrition science, diagnostics, and home-health literature; identify emerging evidence that may necessitate changes to our recommendations.

• Guide team members across our businesses on how to interpret evidence and communicate it in an understandable manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• **Basic Qualifications:**

• - PhD (or MD/PhD) in a pertinent biomedical, clinical, or life sciences discipline.

• - Over 5 years of experience assessing clinical and pre-clinical evidence (academic, industry, or clinical research).

• - Proven ability to make and justify adopt/reject decisions regarding therapeutics, supplements, ingredients, or medical devices.

• - Exceptional written communication skills - capable of producing concise, structured evidence reviews that are actionable for non-scientists.

• - Comfortable working in a startup environment with significant autonomy, direct access to founders, and competing demands from multiple teams.

• **Preferred Skills:**

• - Experience in longevity, metabolic health, women's health, nutrition science, supplement or food formulation, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical R&D.

• - Familiarity with AI/LLM-assisted research tools and their calibration against expert judgment.

• - Exposure to clinical practice or close collaboration with practicing physicians.

• - Experience functioning as a horizontal scientific entity supporting various business units.

• - Published peer-reviewed work in a relevant field.
