Research & Information Integrity Specialist – AI Verification Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Review AI-generated research reports to trace statistics, market sizes, historical facts, and case studies back to their primary sources.

• Detect and rectify AI hallucinations, outdated information, and logical inconsistencies within draft deliverables.

• Cross-verify market growth forecasts and competitive landscapes using credible databases.

• Develop and maintain a source map or citation index for each client deliverable.

• Evaluate the reliability of third-party sources, identify biased data, and propose more trustworthy alternatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library/Information Science, Journalism, History, Law/Paralegal Studies, or another research-intensive discipline.

• Two years of professional experience in fact-checking, legal research, investigative journalism, or academic publishing.

• An intrinsic tendency to double-check obvious facts and a persistent drive to locate original sources of truth.

• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), including Gemini and ChatGPT, along with an understanding of their information generation and potential misrepresentation.

• Proficient in using advanced research databases, such as LexisNexis, Google Scholar, and Statista.

• Skilled in utilizing Boolean search operators.
