Research Director, Software Channels

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct the Software Channels Research program, establishing a dynamic and forward-thinking research agenda.

• Ensure the overall health of the program, manage the research agenda, engage with clients, handle inquiries, renew client agreements, and pursue new prospects.

• Organize and conduct two Leadership Councils annually.

• Create and provide tailored research that addresses client needs and supports broader IDC initiatives.

• Actively participate in and contribute to wider IDC leadership initiatives.

• Collaborate effectively within the channels team, as well as with the broader research domain team and IDC team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or equivalent qualification in a business or technology-related field.

• Experience in technology or market research with a track record of successful delivery.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in channels and ecosystems.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in engaging with executives.

• Proficient writing, presentation, and technology skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot/ChatGPT, etc.) to support research outputs.

• Key personal attributes include adaptability, teamwork, established leadership qualities (both direct and virtual), problem-solving abilities, strategic vision, empathy, and a strong customer focus.
