Research Compliance Analyst, Level 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Perform regular reviews to identify conflicts of interest.

• Provide guidance to principal investigators and research teams on how to complete conflict-of-interest disclosure forms.

• Aid in the development, implementation, and management of audits assessing the completion of disclosure forms and adherence to conflict-management strategies.

• Create, implement, and document plans for managing conflicts related to researchers’ external activities.

• Enhance the electronic processes for Conflict of Interest approval and disclosure.

• Oversee and execute administrative responsibilities associated with the Research Compliance COI protocols and procedures.

• Organize and schedule training sessions on COI for researchers and administrative personnel.

• Supervise the shared COI email inbox.

• Assist in the formulation of Standard Operating Procedures.

• Present COI metrics to the ERIK Research Integrity and Investigations team.

• Monitor and manage conflicts of interest pertaining to researchers’ external activities.

• Support tracking and managing reporting obligations to federal sponsors.

• Report directly to the Director of Conflict of Interest within ERIK’s Research Compliance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required.

• At least two years of experience in higher education, research administration, or compliance related to conflict of interest is necessary.

• A resume must be submitted with the application.

• Final candidates will be subject to a successful background check.

• A drug screening or physical examination may be required post-offer.

• Applicants must be eligible to work within the state of Ohio.

• Ohio State will not sponsor applicants for a work visa for this position.
