This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.
• Identify and acquire project data with clear guidance.
• Create datasets from secondary sources and/or primary research for project-specific modeling, including data cleaning, restructuring, and validation.
• Conduct the prescribed analyses with precision.
• Discover potentially significant findings and insights from the analysis.
• Address data gaps as necessary to support conclusions.
• Prepare straightforward charts, graphs, and supporting report materials for assigned project areas, documenting key findings.
• Clearly summarize findings and contribute to internal discussions.
• Seek ways to enhance efficiency.
• Adhere to the firm's operating procedures and client policy requirements, including pharmacovigilance.
• Research Associates are expected to work independently and collaboratively within a project team to deliver high-quality, error-free work efficiently; they will report to Consultants, Managing Consultants, and/or Executives throughout the engagement.
• Manage multiple client engagements concurrently, showcasing robust project management skills.
• A Master’s degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, economics, mathematics, engineering, operations research, health informatics, or a related quantitative field from a prestigious institution.
• Preferred relevant work experience as a teaching or research assistant while pursuing an advanced degree or during summer internships.
• Proven analytical skills—understanding the pros and cons of various analytical approaches and studies, including regression, significance testing, clustering algorithms, and modeling techniques.
• Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning abilities, with a passion for problem-solving.
• Exposure to healthcare, econometric, or statistical large-scale data set management and analytics in academic or internship settings.
• Successful candidates will possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, work well in teams while demonstrating leadership qualities, and manage multiple commitments along with tight deadlines.
• Capable of collaborating with client team members from diverse functional areas, including market research, business analytics, marketing, and market science.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry stakeholders, issues, and events is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office products is required, along with experience in developing Excel-based spreadsheets utilizing macros and Visual Basic.
• Experience with statistical software packages is highly desired, such as SPSS, SAS, R, or STATA.
• Exposure to Big Data and Business Intelligence tools like SQL, Vertica, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Tableau, with a fundamental understanding of data management principles and programming experience.
