This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Extract clinical data from electronic health records (EHRs), including imaging reports, physician documentation, laboratory results, procedure reports, and other clinical documents for research studies.
• Extract clinical endpoints and outcome measures in accordance with protocol specifications.
• Work collaboratively with investigators, research coordinators, project managers, and analysts to guarantee the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of data.
• Perform source data verification and conduct quality assurance reviews.
• Execute data validation checks and engage in data quality and completeness audits.
• Detect missing, inconsistent, or conflicting clinical information.
• Address discrepancies through a thorough review of source documentation.
• Keep meticulous documentation that supports abstraction decisions.
• Comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• Extract clinical data for quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing cardiovascular care delivery, imaging utilization, patient outcomes, and adherence to guidelines.
• Assist in data collection for accreditation, benchmarking, registry participation, and performance enhancement initiatives.
• Support internal quality programs and fulfill external reporting obligations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, institutional privacy policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree.
• At least three years of experience in chart abstraction.
• Proficiency in EHR systems.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data management.
• Experience with REDCap, clinical trial databases, registry platforms, or quality reporting systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Occasional travel (1–3 times per year).
