This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assists in the daily operations of a team of Pre-Award Specialists.
• Oversees the distribution of workloads and communicates any issues to the Director of Research Administration Services (RAS).
• Offers support and guidance to team members.
• Collaborates with the RAS Director on pre-award tasks, problem-solving, and workload management.
• Works alongside the Post-Award team leader to arrange inter-team meetings.
• Manages pre-award processes for a designated portfolio of grants and contracts.
• Ensures a smooth and effective workflow while adhering to quality standards.
• Conducts pre-award activities for a specific unit within the RAS.
• Aids departmental faculty and Principal Investigators (PIs) in crafting, preparing, and submitting grant and contract proposals.
• Coordinates and assesses specific proposal components for consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
• Tracks proposal progress and advises PIs on requirements and deadlines.
• A Bachelor’s degree.
• At least five years of relevant experience with grants and contracts, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Familiarity with federal laws and regulations pertaining to research grants and/or contract activities.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite software.
