This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop the proprietary narrative platform of the CEO in line with Alteryx's strategy, differentiation, and market opportunities.
• Transform company strategy into messaging suitable for the CEO, targeted at business, technology, and data/AI audiences.
• Create and sustain a library of CEO messages, briefing documents, and a standing Q&A.
• Direct the CEO's media strategy and its execution, encompassing target outlet strategies, story angles, pitch calendars, and both proactive and reactive plans.
• Secure and manage impactful interviews, including those on strategically relevant television platforms.
• Cultivate relationships with reporters, editors, producers, and other influential figures.
• Oversee preparations for CEO media engagements, including crafting talking points, interview briefs, mock Q&As, and providing on-the-spot support.
• Manage the CEO's social media channels comprehensively, including voice, cadence, guidelines, drafting, publishing, approvals, and performance tracking.
• Convert moments involving the CEO into posts, clips, and commentary, establishing a repeatable system for executive content.
• Collaborate with Corporate Communications and corporate PR during weekly editorial meetings focused on the CEO.
• Coordinate CEO visibility across PR, marketing, product, and investor relations when necessary.
• Partner on preparedness for issues, provide crisis communication support, and establish CEO response protocols.
• Set governance for CEO statements, escalation procedures, and risk-aware decision-making.
• Define and report on metrics of CEO visibility success, addressing coverage quality, message retention, share of voice, social engagement, audience growth, and content amplification.
• 5–10+ years of experience in executive communications, PR, media relations, or strategic communications.
• Direct experience in supporting a CEO or C-suite executive.
• Proven track record of securing top-tier earned media, including broadcast and television opportunities.
• Exceptional skills in executive writing and editing, with the ability to draft quickly, clearly, and in a voice that reflects the CEO's authenticity.
• Strong editorial judgment and an instinct for newsworthiness.
• Capability to identify and craft compelling story angles.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across the Office of the CEO, Communications, PR, Marketing, Legal, and Investor Relations.
• B2B technology experience is preferred; expertise in data, analytics, AI, or enterprise software is highly desired.
• Existing relationships with key reporters and producers or a proven ability to establish them quickly is preferred.
• Experience in developing a modern executive social strategy is preferred.
• Ability to create a durable and differentiated narrative platform for the CEO.
• Media instincts and a strong understanding of what is newsworthy and how to package it effectively.
• Ability to maintain a disciplined editorial schedule and ensure team alignment.
• Executive presence to provide confident and tactful advice to the CEO.
• Ability to act swiftly without introducing risk.
• Capacity to comply with U.S. export controls.
• Target annual bonus of 20% of base salary, contingent upon individual and company performance.
