
Remote Sensing Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Obtain airborne data utilizing LiDAR and imagery sensor systems.
• Collaborate closely with pilots and survey teams aboard small aircraft, helicopters, or vehicles during the collection of geospatial data.
• Gather, download, and dispatch collected geospatial data on a daily basis following acquisition.
• Complete comprehensive field documentation.
• Engage in extensive travel by car and aircraft.
• Work in shifts that consist of 16 days on followed by 12 days off.
• Ensure the safe and secure operation of company vehicles, equipment, and instruments.
• Troubleshoot and install sensor systems with assistance.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures established for safety and operations in a dynamic environment.
• A keen interest in GIS and remote sensing.
• A solid understanding of geospatial and aerial survey concepts.
• Familiarity with GNSS survey methods.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficient and experienced in the use of cloud-based technology.
• Ability to make independent decisions and solve problems effectively.
• Comfortable flying in small aircraft for extended periods throughout North America.
• A valid driver's license.
• Relevant field experience.
• Background in GNSS survey practices and instrumentation.
• Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
• Capability to lift over 50 pounds.
